Research progress on risk assessment of heavy rainfall and flood disasters in China

  • Rainstorm flood disaster is one of the most frequently occurring natural disasters. It has become a serious obstacle to the sustainable development of our country. There is an urgent requirement to carry out the risk assessment of rainstorm flood disaster. Based on the objective development process of disasters, this paper systematically reviews the research history of our predecessors and the achievements of current research from three aspects:pre-disaster assessment, post-disaster tracking assessment and post-disaster assessment. On the basis of the understanding of the current research situation, the main problems existing in the current research are put forward.
